Academia Petrina, Jelgava/Mitau


The “Academia Petrina” in the city of Jelgava (former German name: Mitau), then capital of the Courland Governorate in the Russian Empire, today in Latvia. It was founded as a secondary school in 1775 and served as German army headquarters in World War I.
